Welcome to the media blog! It's not the main focus of the website, but I wanted to add a place to talk about media I like.
Anything from comics to books to movies. Might even add some YouTube videos if I come across a truly standout one. Everything will have
a classification added to it like this: !comic. You can use your browser's "find"
feature to find individual entries, or to scroll a particular type of media using the classifications.
On Google you can use
find by clicking the three dots in the top right, then clicking "find and edit," then "find" and typing in your target.
On Firefox you can use "find" by clicking the three lines on the top left, clicking "find in page," and typing in your target.
I don't know the other browsers, but it all should be pretty much the same.
The classifications are: !comic, !movie, !tvshow, !book, !YouTube

The GaMERCaT is an awesome webcomic about a cat who plays video games. I first found it when I was a kid, and recently reread it. It still holds up, and I understand quite a few more references than I did back then. The art is great, it's really simple, but works extremely well and is well executed. Some of the comics have gif panels, which is such a fun use of the digital medium. I love all the different characters, they're all charming and very distinct from each other. Glitch is probably my favorite, he's just adorable.
The comic is complete, it has 300 pages plus a couple bonus illustrations at the end. There's two physically released volumes, but I don't think they contain all of the later comics. Technically it could come back eventually, but the creator has put it on indefinite hiatus and it's been like 5 years. But, thanks to its episodic nature, there's no hanging plot threads or anything. In fact, the last comic released is a really great one to end on, it's a really sweet one. I highly recommend reading it for yourself, it's easily among the ambiguously ranked list of my favorite comics ever (which changes depending on what the last awesome comic I read was, because there's simply too many amazing comics in the world to ever formalize a top 5 list).
